Some may be thinking and asking how can I also do this? Will it work out well?.  These and more were some of the daunting questions that quizzed me too as I thought of putting pen to paper on my attempt to write poetry.

When I now look back at how I started I see lots of mistakes…..

Big mistakes……….

But………….one thing I did right, which is I focused much on improving my skill and art by reading and studying works from accomplished poets and writers.

These published poems are as a result of  persistence and consistence in writing and reviewing which am happy about today.

Below are excerpts of thoughts which re-psyched me to take the plunge and expose my work to the world, from “How to change your mindset for growth” by Ali Luke

  1. Intelligence is fixed at birth.
  2. Some people are creative, others aren’t.
  3. You can become a world-class expert through enough practice, whatever your starting point.
  4. You can change your personality.
